Correct Knife-Changing Process for Paper Cutting Machine
When changing the knife, when the blade drops to the end position (contacting the knife strip), turn off the switch to stop the machine, and all brakes stop moving.
When removing the old blade and replacing it with a new blade (or re-sharpening), check whether the blade α angle is basically consistent with the cutting resistance of the material being cut, and then wipe the blade from top to bottom with a machine cloth. It is strictly forbidden to wipe against or along the blade to avoid bruises.
Loosen the bolts that fix the blade and are exposed outside the knife seat, put the T-type screw pliers on the screw hole, rotate the screw pliers to lower the cutter, make the blade gently contact the pad, and then unscrew the bolts, screw the cutter handler into the hole of the cutter, and tighten it. The knife holder rises to its original position, and the blade is left below. Hold the cutter handlers at both ends with both hands, remove the blade and put it in a wooden (or plastic) knife box.
When changing the knife of the paper cutter, be careful not to let the blade touch any hard objects to keep the blade sharp.
The height of the knife should be appropriate and not too high. If it is too high, the knife holder will drop accordingly. When cutting and pressing down, the knife holder will touch the paper, and the cut paper will be crushed and broken, resulting in waste. When changing the knife, only the blade can touch the paper, and the knife holder cannot touch the paper. Also pay attention to the depth of the blade in the pad (knife strip) should be appropriate, not too high or too low. If it is too high, the paper stack cannot be cut through (the last page will be connected by the knife); if it is too low, after the blade is pressed down and cut, the paper will be pressed into the knife mark of the pad. When the paper stack is taken out, the page below will be torn or the pad will be damaged. In severe cases, it will even cause the knife to collapse. Generally, the depth of the blade pressed down in the pad is preferably 0.3-1 mm.
